JEFF BROWNING

Jeff Browning (aka Bronco Billy) is a veteran ultra runner and endurance coach. He has competed in some of the world’s hardest and most competitive ultra mountain races over the past two and a half decades, including Cocodona 250, Ultra Fiord 174K in Patagonia Chile, Europe’s Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, Fuji 100 in Japan, and run the entire 490-mile Colorado Trail in one consecutive push. A seven-time finisher and winner of the wild and tough Hardrock 100 in SW Colorado, Jeff has finished over 200 ultra marathons and racked up over 40 career ultra wins.

Career Milestones

  • Jeff was ranked No. 3 in Ultrarunning Magazine’s North American Ultrarunner of the Decade (2010-2019)

  • Ranked seven times in the Top Ten of Ultrarunning Magazine’s North American Ultrarunner of the Year — the only man over 50 to make the list 

  • He holds multiple course records, including Moab 240, Scout Mountain 100, and others

  • He holds multiple solo records, including the supported FKT (Fastest Known Time) of the 490-mile Colorado Trail (Eastbound, Collegiate West route) in just over 7 days; and the supported FKT for a quad crossing of the Grand Canyon (2x Rim to Rim to Rim)

  • Over 40 career ultra wins — 30 ot those wins were in the 100-mile plus distance, placing him second in the world for most 100-mile wins in history

 

In addition to his running achievements, Jeff has owned his own business for over 20 years. He spent nearly two decades as a graphic designer, then started an endurance coaching business in 2016. He pulls from a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion in ultra running, mountain exploration and entrepreneurship. He coaches ultrarunners of all backgrounds on nutrition, endurance, mindset, problem solving, strategy, goal setting, and grit
